University Update # 5 : House Drama

I am now officially back at university for third and final year, which is both terrifying and exciting! I am literally so happy to be back in Oxford, for a number of reasons and cannot wait to get back into the routine of studying.

The last time I updated you all was as second year came to an end and boy has a lot happened over the summer, well not even the summer the past four weeks have been crazy and probably not in a good way...

Slimming World Update # 10

It's been a very long time since I've done a Slimming World update, basically before the summer began. A lot has gone on and I've got a lot to fill you in on so grab a cuppa and get yourself comfy for my rollercoaster summer.

Disneyland Paris 2016 Trip Bucket List Revisited

I am now back from Disneyland Paris and after having an amazing week (it was actually five days but it's far easier to say a week!) and sadly having to come back and face reality (which was tough after having such a magical time) I thought I should see if I did manage to do everything on my DLP bucket list.

Naked Noodle*

If you've been following me for a while you'll know that I follow Slimming World and trying to find syn free / low syn snacks is a vital thing especially as I am always up for trying something new. When Naked Noodles wanted to send me some products to try I snapped them up.

What's In My Travel Wash Bag : Disney Edition

If you saw my last post you would have seen what I packed in my travel make up bag for my Disneyland Paris trip. Today I thought I'd share what I'm taking in My Travel Wash Bag. Like my make up bag as I am going with my sister we are sharing a lot of products even more so when it comes to our wash/skincare products.

What's In My Travel Make Up Bag : Disney Edition

Whilst you are reading this I will actually be in Disneyland Paris, which is crazy to think! I am beyond excited but deciding what to take in my make up bag has been much more difficult than I thought! I think what someone packs in their travel make up products shows what they truly love in their make up collection to want to use solely those products for a set period of time.

Disneyland Paris 2016 Trip Bucket List

I go to Disneyland Paris in 4 days, 4 days people! I am so excited! We have all our euros, tickets, insurance and we are nearly completely packed but I cannot wait! I thought I'd share some of my aims (I don't really know what to call them) for this Disney trip. As I don't know when I'll next be able to go to Disney there are a lot of things I want to do especially as I haven't been to DLP for well over ten years!

If Money Was No Object : Beauty Wishlist

I am getting ready to go back to university so I'm very much a skint student. But that doesn't stop me creating endless notes in my phone full of all of the beauty products that I would love to be able to afford and own. I'm currently going through a stint where I'm really into high end make up, but unfortunately my bank account cannot support this phase (which may or may not be a good thing, I haven't yet decided which though yet!). I love reading wishlist posts so thought I'd share the things I'm currently lusting after.

What I'm Watching # 6

Throughout the summer I find I get hooked on so many new TV shows as in the evenings I like to unwind by watching an episode or two of a TV series. I have been watching so many different things recently I thought I ought to share them with you.

The Perfect Summer Base

When summer comes around I am always after a light base. Something which I can wear on a day to day basis which is quick and easy to apply but still gives a flawless finish.

July Highlights

July has been a pretty hectic month for me. It wasn't so much at the beginning of the month but the last couple of weeks have flown by and have been insane!

Disneyland Paris Meal Planning

If you read my Disneyland Paris post you'll know I'm off to Disneyland Paris at the end of August with my sister. It's now just under 60 days until we go which means we can now book our restaurant reservations for the time we are there and I thought I'd share with you our plans for whilst we are away.

20 Things I Won't Miss About Living in Student Halls

For the past two years whilst I've been at university I have been in some form of student halls. In first year I, like most first years, lived in university supplied student accommodation with complete strangers. It was an unusual experience, and one I won't be doing again in a hurry. In second year, I lived in private student accommodation with three girls I chose to live with. I am relieved to say next year (for my third and final year at Oxford Brookes University) I will be living in private rented house which I am excited for and I'm glad to be seeing the back of student halls for hopefully the foreseeable future.

25 Summer Blog Post Ideas

I have recently been struggling with blog post ideas and have been writing lists of ideas to try and give me some inspiration and thought I'd share some of them with you today to help other bloggers out!

Spread The Love # 2

I did a Spread The Love post quite a while ago now but blogger orientated. As I have been watching a lot more YouTube over reading blogs the last few months I thought it was only right to do a post dedicated to my favourite YouTubers who I always look for first in terms of my subscription box.

Update

I usually don't really do 'life' update posts that often, they're usually university related or Slimming World updates. I don't normally feel the need to do a life update that often as I do do other updates about aspects of my life but I feel like one is needed at the minute.

L'Oreal Beauty Haul

I recently got paid and after not really buying a lot of make up recently I decided to pop into my local Superdrug. I did need to repurchase my current favourite foundation but it was on 3 for 2 and it would have been silly not to pick up some other bits.

Colouring Books for Adults

The past year has seen a rise in popularity for adult colouring books. I for one used to love colouring and when I saw this latest trend I knew I needed to get in on it and so saw the start of my adult colouring book collection.

Throwback: Favourite Favourite TV Shows

Since turning 20 and saying farewell to my teens and childhood and hello to adulthood I have become quite the retrospect. I was sat browsing Netflix and realised how different childrens TV is today compared to what I grew up watching. Seeing as its a Thursday it only seemed right to do a Throwback Thursday of all my favourite TV shows I used to love watching as a child.

May Highlights

Despite not blogging a lot this month (you can read more about that here) I have still had a lot of highlights from the month!

What I'm Watching #5

Since finishing exams a couple of weeks ago it means I have been able to sit for hours on end and binge watch TV shows, which I personally love doing! Sometimes you just need a hot chocolate, comfy pjs and a new TV series to have a bit of me time, or in my case a well deserved break after exams.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

I thought it was time I did a review on the only thing I've been using on my brows for a good couple of months. I'm a bit late on the whole Anastasia Brow Product bandwagon but I'm so glad I finally did.

Current Beauty Favourites

It feels like I haven't shared my current beauty favourites in quite a while and thought it was only right to tell you what I've been loving. Throughout May I actually didn't wear make up all that much, as I was staying in to revise and didn't see that there was much point in putting make up on when I wasn't going anywhere. When I have put make up on though I have been gravitating towards a certain selection of products.

Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold

I recently featured this in my One Beauty Product You Should Invest In and mentioned I was going to do a review of it. So here it is!

University Update # 4: Finishing Second Year

I've been a bit haywire with blogging recently, and trust me that was not an intentional. I had a plan of posts I was going to upload across May but life just got away from me and before I knew it I had no blog photos prepared and no blog posts written and no time to dedicate to doing either of these things. As you'll know blogging is a hobby of mine, I don't earn from it but I also have other commitments such as being a student and having a part time job and obviously when push comes to shove the blog has had to take a back seat. But I'm glad to be back in the swing of things and I have lots of posts that I just cannot wait to write!

April Highlights

My Birthday Month!

As this was the month of my birthday expect a lot of birthday related highlights even though my birthday was right at the beginning of April I can celebrate it all throughout the month, right?

Slimming World Update #8

A long update post from me today, so bear with me as a lot has been going on this month and my weight and health has taken a back seat.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

I was lucky to get the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette for my birthday and knew I just had to share it with you all!

Would You Rather - Beauty Edition

This has been in my back log of 'posts to do' for quite a while but thought it was time I posted it. I really enjoyed this and it really make me think in terms of my must have make up products and beauty products I just could easily do without!

Revision Tips and Tricks #2

Last week I did my first instalment of my Revision Tips and Tricks posts. If you haven't read the first one you can read it here. This week I am mainly going to be focusing on the different methods of revising and the tools you can use to aid this.

Garnier Skin Active Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water is an easy way to remove even waterproof & long-wear makeup.

Cleanse and nourish the feel of skin, in one step without rinsing.

One Beauty Product You Should Invest In

A lot of my make up is from the high street. One because it is affordable and two I don't feel as bad buying lots of it when it's so affordable! However, as with most people there is one or two products I feel you need to spend money on when it comes to make up.

Revision Tips and Tricks #1

As its coming up to exam season and I'm now back at university for the final six weeks of second year I thought I'd share some of my revision techniques. This is going to be two posts as I don't want it to be too long. I think I've got my revision technique/routine down to a 'T' seeing as I've used the same techniques throughout my GCSEs, A-Levels and now university. Today will focus on setting yourself up for getting ready for revision and things to think about.

20 Thoughts I Had When I Turned 20

I recently turned 20 (4th April to be exact). I was gutted in all honesty. I wasn't as bad as one of my friends who literally had a meltdown the night before her 20th but I wasn't jumping in the air celebrating my new age. As a fun little post I thought I'd share 20 thoughts I had about turning the big 2 0.

Becca X Jaclyn Hill Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Pop

Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Champagne Pop

A creamy powder luminizer that absorbs and reflects light for a superb natural glow.

L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette

I am currently getting into contouring and bronzing a lot so when L'Oreal bought out a new contour palette I knew I wanted to try it especially as it is a cream formula which I had never tried before!

Sculpt and define your features with shadow and light, with our cream-to-powder Contouring Palette.

The lighter shade is designed to lift and highlight the high-points of your face, whilst the darker shade creates the illusion of shadow, to sculpt your face to perfection.

Becoming a Coconut Queen

I am proud to announce that I am now a Coconut Queen (and no it's not because I've recenrlt become obsessed with all things coconut!).
I was recently contacted by the lovely Charlotte at Coconut Lane to become part of their unique team of bloggers to work alongside their website.
We all know I just wanted the title of Coconut Queen!

March Highlights

March has been a crazy month. I've basically got no lectures anymore as exam season is around the corner and I'm now back at home for Easter break and my birthday. It's been a rollercoaster but there have definitely been some highs.

What I'm Watching #4

The past couple of months have been busy in terms of TV. All of my favourite shows have come back either starting a new season or just picking up from where they left off before Christmas. I've had so many TV shows to watch, which is never a bad thing as it means if I've got a spare hour or something I always have something to watch now! Trying to narrow it down to some of my favourite picks this month has been difficult though as I just have so many to choose from and I'm trying not to repeat what I've mentioned in the past either! So enough rambling, let's see what I've been watching...

University Update #3

I can't quite believe this is my third university update! My last one was before Christmas and boy oh boy has a lot happened since then. If I was you I'd make sure you were comfy, maybe a blanket, a nice big mug of hot chocolate and a couple of chocolate biscuits because, well, it would be silly not to!

Slimming World Update #7

Another month, another update post...

Disneyland Paris 2016

So...I'm off to Disneyland at the end of August! My sister and I have been talking about going for months and months and we finally bit the bullet and booked it! I am going to do a number of posts about it between now and us going and of course afterwards but they're going to be spaced out so its not too Disney crazy (but would that really be a bad thing!?).

Beanies Coffee

I am a lover of coffee and since joining Slimming World flavoured coffee's seemed a thing of the past as most syrups contain ridiculous amounts of sugar so when people in my group started talking about Beanies coffee I knew I needed to try them.

Just to put this out there this post isn't sponsored I just love this coffee so much!

Beauty Products I've Repurchased

Beauty hauls are quite a frequent thing on my blog, but there are times when I need go shopping and just pick up some beloved beauty products (why is it that they all seem to run out at the same time!?) and rarely share them with you. Well today that's going to change and I'm going to show an insight into a handful of beauty products I repurchase time and time again.

The 13 Personal Questions Tag

As I've made known many times I love reading more personal posts on blogs, anything to give an insight into the person behind the blog. Seeing as I love reading those types of posts when I saw this tag post flying around I thought it should be something that should feature on Beauty and Me. So enjoy these 13 random questions to give an insight into the person behind the blog.

March Goals

I'm not one to usually do monthly goal posts but I seem to have lost my way recently in a lot of things: university, blogging, life, Slimming World. I desperately need to get back on track so thought doing a goal post would centre my focus and make me more motivated (well I'm hoping it will anyway!).

February Highlights

Another month of 2016 has been and gone, a lot has happened, some good some bad, but today we are just focusing on all the good and positive things that have happened throughout February!

Slimming World Update #6

Another month, another Slimming World Update! I can't believe this is my 6th update post! 6 months of sharing my journey with you all!
