Since finishing exams a couple of weeks ago it means I have been able to sit for hours on end and binge watch TV shows, which I personally love doing! Sometimes you just need a hot chocolate, comfy pjs and a new TV series to have a bit of me time, or in my case a well deserved break after exams.
Power
This was a TV show that kept coming up on my recommended TV shows on Netflix. I kept seeing it and after reading the synopsis I thought it wouldn't be for me, but I was bored and wanted to start something new. I got hooked on the first episode. I wasn't quite sure what to expect in all honesty and it isn't something I usually gravitate towards but I'm so glad I did. There's a lot of action and drama in it and I don't really want to give it away but it centres around drug cartels in New York and how they hide their money in legal businesses'. The State Attorney is also investigating 'Ghost' (major drug cartel leader) and trying to work out who it is and bring them down. I don't want to say anything else, but something you should definitely just watch the first episode and see what you think. It's so so good!
Blindspot
I started this TV show with my mum when I was home at Easter. We were recommended the show by a friend and we both got hooked. We downloaded all the episodes that were on Sky and we are now up to watching it week by week at the time it is aired in America. Basically a woman turns up in New York, not knowing who she is or what's happened to her, but her entire body is covered in tattoos, all of which are aiding the FBI in solving some crimes, some of which are yet to happen. It's very weird but as Jane Doe begins to learn who she once was its all very interesting. Something I keep pushing people to watch and I'm excited to see where they take the series.
Geordie Shore
I have made it known before that I am a sucker for reality TV shows, not all of them but some. I got into Geordie Shore last year just before exams after my flatmates were constantly talking about it and managed to get up to date within a month. I now watch every series as it comes out on MTV and love it. I have to say I definitely ship Charlotte and Gary. The 5 year anniversary episodes have just started and I am so excited to start seeing some of the old cast make a comeback! Geordie Shore isn't for everyone but I
don't know why but I am obsessed with it!
House
House is something I have been watching on Netflix for about a year. I started it as I wanted something easy to watch and had heard great things. I was really into the first few seasons and then now I sort of watch it in dribs and drabs whenever the mood strikes. Since finishing my exams I have been leaning towards watching this more and more. It's so interesting. Basically, if you don't know House is a leading Doctor who specialises in finding out what is wrong with people with unusual symptoms. It's really quite different to other medical dramas, in my opinion, which is why I am drawn to it so often.
A weird and wonderful selection of TV shows I've been watching recently. I am always on the look out for are TV shows so if you have any recommendations please send them my way!
