Skincare Sunday : Top 5 Face Masks

I frequently find myself browsing the face mask aisles of numerous stores trying to find the 'perfect' ones, the ones that actually make a difference. Over time I have found myself leaning towards certain face masks over the others in my collection. Therefore I thought it was time I did my Top 5 Face Masks.

These are in no particular order as I they are all good in different ways. Most of them if you can't tell from the above picture are what some may call high-end but personally I find these are the best ones for their purpose out of the ones I've tried from both the drugstore and high-end.

Origins Drink Up Mask I use this specifically on dry patches on my skin. I currently have oily skin with the odd dry patch but always feel like my skin is dehydrated. This is the perfect mask for on the go or if you have limited time as you only have to leave it on for 10 minutes. I often let my younger sister borrow this as she has dry skin and after using it her skin looks dramatically clearer and less flaky. My skin always looks more refreshed and full. If you haven't tried this already it's a must have in your collection.

Super Facialist by Una Brennan Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask This is available from Boots. It's the cheapest of my top 5 face masks and is probably one of the best drugstore face masks I have tried. This is perfect for when your skin is going through a break out stage or to prevent break outs if used on a regular basis. Most of my favourite masks are clay based masks as I find they benefit my skin the most. If you want to buy a decent face mask but without a hefty price tag this is definitely one for you.

Origins Clear Improvements Face Mask As I have just mentioned clay masks are by far my favourite. I use this mask probably the most as I can put it on really thinly or just pile it on and just let it dry. I usually use this when I'm having a full on pamper evening as I can put it on and just let it do its work and wait for it to dry. I personally apply this all over my face most of the time but if I am having a problem day/week I'll just apply it to the problem areas. I think a clay mask is a staple in anyones collection whatever skin type you have and for me this is the best one I've come across.

Ren Clarimatte Invisible Pores Detox Mask This is one of my newest face masks after receiving it for my birthday. This is my favourite packaging of any face mask I've used as it is usually mess free through the use of a pump compared to squeezing a tube. I really like this face mask. It's a clay based mask again so it draws out the impurities but when my skin feels congested after a night out or from wearing a full face of make up for a prolonged amount of time I feel myself reaching for this. The formula is quite thin and can be layered. It's just an easy face mask to use the morning after the night before or for a mini mid week pampering.

Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask This goes hand in hand with the Drink Up Mask. This one is great when I'm feeling a little lazy to sit and put on a face mask then take it off after the allocated time. This one you apply on your face before you go to bed and then wash off in the morning by which time most of it has absorbed into your skin. This I find is amazing for travelling with, when I went to New York I was short for time to do a full pamper session for my dehydrated skin and this I applied in the evening and woke up with glowing, smooth, full skin. A definite recommend for those who struggle to find time for a full beauty regime but still like to treat themselves once in a while.

That's my Top 5 Face Masks, I will probably be doing more in-depth reviews of these particularly masks in the near future. I really like to try and use a face mask at least once if not twice a week as I find it really does help my skin! I would love to know what your face mask recommendations are as I'm always on the look out for something new!
